Will the Price Hike Ever Face Reverse Frontage?

Keeping the current increase and ups and downs of the global oil prices and their ultimate impact upon the everyday life products, Apple had to take a very bold and gallant marketing move when it updated its market trade-in prices for its different products, such as,
- iPhone mobiles
- iPads
- Apple Watches
- Mac books and some of the Android phones in the mobile market.
It was a very difficult, rare and bold decision in whole the history of Apple to increase the prices of products in open market. But, Apple had to take such tough pace due to global oil market related crisis. Due to 3 – 5% price hike in economy even in Mainland America and around Pacific and India, the Apple had to take very bitter stride of swelling the prices of Apple products.
The products have been soft-split in 4 different clutches and collections. When their existing and upcoming prices were calculated, it was decided to increase their prices in order to avoid losses to the company and to encourage Apple customers to move toward trade-ins.
Average change/increase in price of 19 Apple products is 4.87%
For the analysis of change in prices, 19 major Apple products were selected and these were divided in 4 different groups.
Change in the Prices of iPhones

This is very interesting to note that the latest Apple phone, iPhone 16 Pro Max, was given the minimum price hike of just 1.439% while the oldest iPhone in the group, iPhone 16, was given the 22.32% change in price ($435 – $560). It is a clear indication that Apple wants to get rid of older versions of phones and other products and wants to offer good trade-in to customers against the sale of newer iPhones.
This is an interesting, rather thought-provoking, phenomenon for the marketing experts.

Climb in the Prices of iPads

Subsequent collection of Apple creations, confronting the price adjustment / increase, are the iPad series. iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad and iPad Mini faced the average percentage change in the prices of 4.55%. As compared to iPhone collection, facing price hike, latest iPad Pro faced the minimum price change of just 2.89% while the iPad faced the 6.38% change in price.

Apple Watch Group – Confronted the Rise in Prices

Apple Watch group, confronting the change in prices the changes, is consisted of Apple Watch Ultra 2, Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra.
Average price change in prices of Apple Watches is 3.90% where as the lowest price rise is in Apple Watch Ultra 2 is 3.27% while the Apple Watches facing the highest price hike is Apple Watch Series 9 with Average price change of 7.69%.
Apple Watch Ultra faced no change in price.

Apple Mac Price Change

Mac products are included in this group are; MacBook Pro, MacBook Pro, iMac, iMac Pro, Mac mini, Mac Studio and Mac Pro.
The interesting price fluctuations were made in Mac group of Apple products. On the one hand, latest Mac Book Pro faced minimum change in price of just 0.72% while Mac Mini price was increased by 9.33%.
As a whole, average prices of Mac group changed by 4.10%.

As the Apple went through a rare change in price structure due to global oil warfare, the question is; will this change be reversed in the new future. Though the price change in most instances is just the nominal, but its impact will be astonishing on the marketing front.
