Android devices, by default, store all your text messages in your phone’s memory where the SIM card storage is not used. But, if for some reason, your messages stored on the SIM card cannot be viewed in your messaging app then, don’t worry they are not lost.

You can view and manage the messages stored on your SIM card by using the messaging app of Android 4.4 Kitkat and you don’t need to have special app for that purpose.

Instructions:

  • First of all, launch ‘Messaging’ app and open options by pressing the ‘menu’ or ‘three dots’. Your app options will open. Here select ‘Settings’.

  • Your settings will open. Here look for ‘Manage SIM card messages’ under ‘Text messages’.

  • You will be able to see all your SIM card messages. You can press any to copy to phone memory.
