A good trick to avoid excessive billing invoice, to be sent from your phone carrier, is to avoid unnecessary call, such as, calls while roaming or international roaming etc. You may set your Android device to avoid calls which may be dialed, accidentally.
Caution: Activation of outgoing or incoming calls from your Android are network specific. Some networks may not allow activation of such calls. This tip only shows you how to activate such call blocking from your device but its ultimate acceptance may be done by your phone carrier.
If you want some help in this regard, you may get help from the instructions.
1: Tap the icon of the ‘Phone Dialer’ at the Home screen of your Android 4.4.4 KitKat device to open up the ‘Mass Response’ screen. 2: At the ‘Mass Response’ screen, tap the ‘Settings’ button, placed at the bottom right corner of the screen. It will open up a popup menu. 3: Tap the ‘Settings’ in the popup menu. 4: At the ‘Call settings’ screen, scroll down to the OTHER CALL SETTINGS section and tap ‘Call blocking’. 5: At the ‘Call blocking’ screen, see the status of ‘Outgoing call blocking’ is ‘Off’. Tap ‘Outgoing call blocking’ to change it. It will open up a popup menu with 4 different options:
- International roaming calls
- International calls
- All outgoing calls
Tap any option. It will open up a prompt, named; ‘Incoming call blocking’. 6: Here in the prompt, write the 4 digit password, given to you by phone network and tap check, placed below the numerical keyboard. It will take you to the prompt, asking you to tap ‘OK’ to save the change.
7: But, if you do not have the password, given by the phone carrier, the response from the network may be ‘Unexpected’. See the message, Unexpected response from network’, telling you that your network do not permit you to opt this blocking. Now, for the call blocking, contact your network.
