Time matters while unlocking the Android 4.4.4 KitKat device. Sometimes, you are required to unlock the Android device, quickly. If only one default button, i.e. power button, is being used to unlock the device, the unlocking may be delayed whereas in some older devices, power button may not be working effectively. In this situation, you may need additional mechanism to unlock the Android device.

Keeping in view the need and requirement of the Android users, you may configure additional buttons to unlock the Android device, but depending upon the setting of the different buttons. You may enable / activate the Menu button but if you need help, you may see the instructions.

Command Line: Settings Icon – Home Screen > Lock Screen – PERSONALIZATION > Button Actions – GENERAL > Menu Unlock / Lock.

Instructions

1: Tap the icon of ‘Settings’ app on the bottom right corner of the Home screen of Android 4.4.4 KitKat device to open up the ‘Settings’ screen.MenuButtonUnlock-12: At the ‘Settings’ screen, scroll down to the PERSONALIZATION and tap ‘Lock Screen’.MenuButtonUnlock-23: At the ‘Lock Screen’ screen, tap the ‘Buttons Actions’ in the GENERAL section. MenuButtonUnlock-34: On the ‘Buttons Actions’ settings screen, see the ‘Menu Unlock’ is not checked, i.e. it is not enabled and activated. It means; this feature cannot be used to unlock the device. MenuButtonUnlock-45: Tap the ‘Menu Unlock’ to check and activate ‘Menu Unlock’ option.MenuButtonUnlock-5From now onward, whenever you need to unlock the Android Lock Screen, you may use the ‘Menu’ button as well to unlock the device.
