Motorola has confirmed that it would update the operating system of its Moto G phones to Android 4.4 in January. Announced in November 2013 and released in the same month, Motorola Moto G is currently powered by Android v4.3 Jelly Bean and is already planned to be upgraded to v4.4 KitKat in near future.KitKatIt has been confirmed in the US market that Motorola will convert the following devices to KitKat in near future, though no date is confirmed till now:

  • Moto X
  • Droid Ultra
  • Droid Maxx
  • Droid Mini

This is confirmed that Motorola will update its phones but not before January, 2014.

Meanwhile the Motorola has revealed the plans to update the OS of its 10 phones to Android KitKat 4.4.

Following different versions are being boasted for the KitKat updates:

  • Cellular version: Motorla Electrify M for US
  • AT&T version: Atrix HD
  • Verizon:
  • DROID Ultra
  • DROID Maxx
  • DROID Mini
  • DROID RAZR HD
  • DROID RAZR Maxx HD
  • DROID RAZR
