2.85% Increase in Stock Values of 13 IT Companies on Jan. 6 & CES 2014!

Positive mean change of ‘2.85%’ in the stock value of 13 leading IT companies is a good indication, shown at the NYSE and around the Globe stock exchanges, on the opening day of first full week of Year 2014. The question is; is it reflecting the effects of International CES 2014, scheduled to be held during January 7-10, 2014 at Las Vegas, Nevada.Stock-on-Jan.-6

The 13 leading IT companies, stock of which increased on January 6, 2014 are: Alcatel, Apple, BlackBerry, Facebook, Gigabyte, Google, Huawei, LG, OANTECH, Sony, T-Mobile, Vodafone and ZTE.

The stock of the companies which fell on January 6, 2014 are; Hewlett-Packard, HTC, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Oracle, and Toshiba.

Highest change of ‘39.29%’in the stock of ZTE was noted on January 6, 2014 followed by that of BlackBerry. Highest reduction in the value of stock was observed in the stock of Microsoft which is ‘-2.11%’.

Change in Value of Stock of 19 Leading IT Companies during Year 2013

The mean stock of 19 leading IT companies changed by ‘16.59%’ during the year 2013. It was a good year for the IT companies, around the Globe. As per one analysis, the stock of 15 IT companies raised while the stock of 4 companies dropped. Change-in-2013

The companies, which had the increase in the values of their stock are; Alcatel, Nokia, Facebook, Hewlett-Packard, T-Mobile, Huawei, Google, Vodafone, Sony, Gigabyte, PANTECH, Microsoft, Toshiba, Apple and Samsung.

LG, ACER, BlackBerry and HTC were not so fortunate and their stock values fell.

Highest positive change ‘60.23%’ was noted in the stock of Alcatel, followed by the stock of Nokia which increased by ‘48.71%’ during the year 2013.

HTC was not so fortunate and its stock fell, apparently, by ‘90.59%’.

This year 2013 can be termed as the year of Nokia as NOK, the stock of Nokia, increased surprisingly by ‘48.71%’.Nokia       

 

Change in Stock of 20 Leading IT Companies in December 2013

Stock of 21 leading IT companies went through ‘2.567%’ mean change during the month of December 2013. As a whole, it was a good month for the 15 companies whose stock values increased and was an unfortunate month for the remaining 6 IT companies whose stock lost its value. Highest change ‘19.976%’ was noted in the stock of T-Mobile with ZTE secured the 2nd highest change of ‘18.919%’ in the stock. Stock of BlackBerry had the third highest change of ‘16.962%’ in its stock.

Lowest change was noted in the stock of PARLA which changed by ‘-33.333%’.

As a whole it was a very good month for the IT companies.

It seems that immediately after the end of shopping season of Year 2013, the shopping spree looks to be ended.

The 5 companies which had the positive stock change are; BlackBerry, Gigabyte, Facebook, Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba while the stock of PANTECH had no change in its stock.

The 15 companies which had the negative change in the stock were; Google, Sony, Huawei, Vodafone, Motorola, Microsoft, Apple, HTC, T-Mobile, LG, Samsung, Nokia, Parla and ZTE.
