Android 4.4 Kitkat along with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has got an awesome feature which lets you sync your contacts in phonebook to your different account including Google, Exchange, Whatsapp, Facebook and many more. But, adding these accounts to your phone means you will be getting contacts from them in your phonebook aka ‘People’ app in Android 4.4.

But, there is also an option to select the contacts which are showed in your People app so you will only see the contacts you want. You can easily filter the contacts from different accounts which you don’t want to see in your contact list.

Follow the instructions to know how to filter contacts from different accounts from showing in People app of Android 4.4.

Instructions:

  • First of all, open up the People app. Once opened, press the menu button or ‘three dots’ on screen to open options.
  • A pop-up menu will open. Here select ‘Contacts to display’.

  • Contacts to display menu will open. Here you can select the account from which you want the contacts to be showed in main view.

  • You can also customize the contact list by adding different categories of account from different account by pressing the ‘Customize’ button and then checking different options.

  • Once checked, press ‘Ok’ and you will be able to see only those selected contacts in your ‘All contacts’ view.
  • That’s all!

    Unfortunately it doesn´t have an option anymore to show only contacts with phone number. My Contact list is filled with people without numbers that doesn´t help me at all
