The Home screen of the Android Marshmallow smartphone or tablet is the key to almost all operations and functions of the Marshmallow operating system. During the normal working, you may be needed to open up the homes screen, again and again, which is a cumbersome process, keeping in view the hardware buttons to perform this function. If due to excessive usage or some other technical reason, the home button become inoperable, the Marshmallow functioning may become troublesome. In such situations, the soft button, provided in navigation bar, is the only rescue available to the users.
The introduction of the navigation bar is the result of all such complaints from the users. This is a software based feature which is built-in in the Marshmallow operating system and can be activated by the users at any time. After the launch of the navigation bar, 3 options will be available to the users, right at the bottom of the screen.
We have placed the illustrated screenshots about the process in the tutorial for you to work upon.
1: To open up the ‘Settings’ screen, tap the icon of the ‘Settings’ app, placed by me at the bottom-right corner of the Home screen of my Android Marshmallow smartphone.2: At the ‘Settings’ screen, scroll down to the ‘Device’ section and tap the ‘Buttons’ option to open up the interface to work with the buttons, available in your Android phone.3: At the ‘Buttons’ screen, scroll down to the ‘Keys’ and see the ‘Show navigation bar’ switch is not set to ‘On’. It means; this option is not activated at the moment.4: To activate the navigation bar, tap the ‘Show navigation bar’ switch to activate it.
5: See; immediately after the activation of the navigation bar, a bar at the bottom of the screen will become visible with 3 buttons in it.
6: Now, to open up the home screen, just tap the middle of the navigation bar and it will take you instantly to the Home screen. 7: You may also see and operate this function, from all the screens.
