When you are too busy to attend an incoming call or want to delay the response to any incoming call due to any reason, you have the option of quick response in Android 5.1 Lollipop devices.

The quick response is a feature of the Android where you may select the option of sending a pre-written message to the caller, informing her / him about the reason of not receiving the call.

Android has 4 quick responses, set in the Android Lollipop operating system, though you may edit any of the responses, as per your need, desire or requirements.

Four quick responses (pre-written messages, set by default in Android 5.1 Lollipop) are:

  • Can’t talk now. What’s up?
  • I’ll call you right back.
  • I’ll call you later.
  • Can’t talk now. Call me later?
  • Or Write your own …

You may easily select any of the quick responses but if you feel the need, you may read the instructions.

Instructions

1: Tap the center of the incoming call interface with your finger which appears on the Home screen of your Android 5.1 Lollipop phone. Immediately after taping the incoming call button with your finger, an incoming call interface will be changed on the Home screen.LollipopQuickResponseSelection-22: Immediately after taping the screen with your finger, 3 different options will appear on the interface:

  • Button to receive the call
  • Button to reject the call
  • Button to select quick response

Drag your finger to the quick response message button and release it. It will open up a popup menu with 5 above described pre-written default quick responses (messages).LollipopQuickResponseSelection-33: Select any of the quick responses from the popup menu and the Android will send the pre-written message, selected by you, to the caller.

Alternatively, you may select the last option in the popup menu to write your own message for sending to the caller.LollipopQuickResponseSelection-4That’s all!
