Command Line: Settings > Apps – DEVICE > Apps – Running.
1: Tap ‘Settings’ on the Home screen of your Android 4.4.4 KitKat phone. 
2: At the settings screen, tap the ‘Apps’ under the DEVICE to open up the Apps screen. 
3: At the ‘Apps’ screen, swipe the screen twice to the right – from ‘DOWNLOADED to RUNNING – with the status of SHOW CACHED PROCESSES. 
4: At the RUNNING Apps screen, you may see all the current running apps. See at the bottom of the screen where under the RAM, used and free memory space is counted and displayed. 
From here, you may decide about the apps which are important for the smooth working of your phone and remaining apps may be closed.
