Almost all the values of different features in Android Marshmallow are set by default but the users are given options to change or overwrite the default values as per their needs or mobile network requirements. Brightness is one such value which is set in default but user can change or overwrite this default value at any time. In addition to it, you may set many other ambient display default values as per your need or desire.

Ambient values are the values which can be set but which are then subject to change, automatically, depending upon the surroundings. To change the different ambient values, you need to activate the option to overwrite the ambient values. Once this option is activated, the different values can be changed by the users. 

If you want to change the default values, you may do it with a few taps only but if you are feeling any difficulty in understanding the process, you may do it with the help of the instructions.

Instructions

1: Tap the icon of the ‘Settings’ app, placed at the bottom-right corner of your Home screen of your Android Marshmallow smartphone or tablet to open up the next screen of ‘Settings’.2: At the ‘Settings’ screen, tap the ‘Display’ in the ‘Device’ section.3: At the ’Display’ screen, tap the ‘Ambient display’.4: At the ‘Ambient display’ screen, see; the ‘Overwrite value’ is not checked, currently, i.e. this feature is not activated and enabled. Due to its disability, all the other related values, given under the ‘Overwrite value’ option, are also not activated.

If you are willing to configure the default values with your own values, tap to check the ‘Overwrite value’ option and activate it.5: See; after the activation of the ‘Overwrite value’ option, all the other values and setting, such as, Brightness and Time settings are also enabled.Now, you may set or overwrite all related values as per your desire.
