Brightness of the screen of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat is a major cause of the drainage of the battery. The best control of the drain of the battery is the easy, comfortable and convenient way of control of the brightness of the screen. In the past versions of the Android, there was the mechanism of the control of the screen brightness by sliding down the status bar or the quick pull down option. But, in the newer Android version, 7.1.1 Nougat, you may activate an option which allows the brightness control, right from the home screen by sliding the finger upon the status bar.
The newer feature saves a lot of time and less drainage of battery as it is easy and quicker method of controlling the screen brightness as per the surrounding brightness and light situation. If the surrounding light level is higher, then the less brightness may be required for the screen while in the night, more light may be required. Before the sleep in the night, you may set the brightness, quickly, by simply sliding the finger across the status bar and that’s all!

Command Line: Settings – Home > Status Bar – System > Brightness control – On / Off.
1: Tap the icon of the ‘Settings’ app, placed at the bottom right corner of my Nougat device Home screen. You may place the settings icon at any place on the home screen of your Android device to open up the settings screen.
2: At the ‘Settings’ screen, scroll down to the bottom of the screen in the ‘System’ section and tap the ‘Status Bar’.
3: At the ‘Status bar’ screen, scroll down to the ‘Brightness control’. See; the current status of the brightness control is ‘Off’.
4: Tap the ‘Brightness control’ switch to switch it ‘On’. The green color will inform that the ‘Brightness control’ has been activated and enabled.
5: Now, back to the Home screen. Here, slide your finger across the status bar from right to left and back to control the screen brightness. The sliding to the extreme left will decrease the brightness to the minimum while the extreme left will bright the screen to the full brightness level.
