Morgan Stanley is of the view that demand for Apple iPhones could set a new sale record for the March Quarter. AlphaWise Tracker, the investment division of Morgan Stanley has suggested that the current demand for the smartphones by Apple is 55 million units. The research chain is of the view that Apple Inc. produce 52 million iPhones as against the predicted demand of 54 million, shifting some of the supply to the next quarter.
While on the other hand, the demand of iPhones with UBS is expecting the company to ship 58 million units by the end of March. But Barclays do not agree with the bullish estimates of UBS and of the opinion that Apple may ship 54 million units in current quarter.
AlphaWise is of the view that increasing demand from Brazil and China has also contributed to 54 million expected sale of iPhone in the current quarter, as against the sale of 43.7 million iPhone in First quarter of Year 2014. With the total 700 million sale of the iPhones, till date, Apple has touched the 50-million unit mark, twice in its history. Now, it is to be seen whether the iPhone will also touch the new record of shipment of 54M in the current quarter.
