The audit of any mobile phone, normally, start with the inspection of the history of the browsers. Sometimes, you have to search and visit some confidential pages which you do not want to expose to the other users of the mobile phone. The exposure and disclosure of the history may cause personal, official or business secrets and may damage you heavily. So, this is a good habit to clear the history of the browser after every session of the online surfing.

If you are using the built-in browser of the Android 4.4.x KitKat, you may clear its history if you follow the instructions.

Instructions

1: Tap the icon of the ‘Browser’ on Home screen of your Android 4.4.x KitKat device to open up the browser. KitKat-Clear-History-1

2: At the ‘Browser’ screen, long press the menu button to open up the control settings menu popup (provided you have set the menu button for the long press). Tap the ‘Settings’, at the bottom of the popup menu. KitKat-Clear-History-23: If you have activated the ‘Quick Controls’ on your ‘Browser’, you may open up the ‘Settings’ screen from the ‘Quick Controls’. Just tap the right or left border of the ‘Browser’ screen. It will open up the semi-circle floating menu popup, ‘Quick Controls’. KitKat-Clear-History-3

4: Tap the ‘Settings’ at the top of the ‘Quick Controls’ menu popup. It will take you to the ‘Settings’ screen. KitKat-Clear-History-45: At the ‘Settings’ screen, tap the ‘Privacy & security’ to open up the privacy & security screen. KitKat-Clear-History-56: Tap the ‘Clear history’. It will open up a prompt, named; ‘Clear history’. KitKat-Clear-History-67: Here, Android will ask you; Delete the browser navigation history?

8: Tap ‘OK’ to clear the history. It will take you back to the ‘Privacy & security’ screen. KitKat-Clear-History-7See the ‘Clear history’ is now, a dim, showing that the action is complete, i.e. history is cleared. KitKat-Clear-History-8That’s all!
