Screen rotation can be activated by various procedure but one procedure is from the ‘Display’ settings. You may activate screen rotation by a simple procedure.

Instructions

Command Line: Settings – Home > Display – Settings > Rotation – Display > Auto-rotation screen ON/OFF.

1: Tap the icon of the ‘Settings’ app on the Home screen of your Android 5.0 Lollipop device to open up the ‘Settings’ screen. Lollipop-Wallpaper-Home-92: At the ‘Settings’ screen, scroll down to the DEVICE section and tap ‘Display’. Lollipop-Screen-Rotation-Activation-23: At the ‘Display’ screen, see the status of the ‘Rotation’ is ‘Disabled’, i.e. when you will rotate your Android, its screen will not be rotated with device rotation. Tap to change the status, i.e. to activate the screen rotation. Lollipop-Screen-Rotation-Activation-34: At the ‘Rotation’ screen, see the ‘Auto-rotate screen’ is switched off as it is Grey in color. Lollipop-Screen-Rotation-Activation-45: Tap the ‘Auto-rotate screen and drag it to the right to switch it on.

6: When the switch is turned on, the color of ‘Auto-rotate screen’ will be changed from Grey to light Green, indicating that the switch is on and the auto-rotate screen is activated and enabled. When the auto-rotate screen is activated, you need to activate at least one option of degree. I tapped ’90 degrees’. Lollipop-Screen-Rotation-Activation-57: Move back to the ‘Display’ screen and rotate the screen to 90 degree and see the screen is rotated, accordingly.
